P/S: i am not under the sofa :D
argh, i can't tear myself away from this box of wonder! C:
today's physics practical assessment sucked. i totally messed up! poo.
i got the wrong result, used the wrong steps to carry out the experiment, and thus, probably failed.
oh bother.
shinchan's creator/artist is dead. D: cries.
i'm going to miss shinchan! all the times his jokes cheered me up, aw.
(shinchan = la4bi2xiao3xin1)
poor man fell to his death during a hike.
watched the incredibles again. uber touched.
again. huh. all over again.
my favourite animated movies are in this order -
9 (yes it is called "9", more about it later.)
Cars
Meet the Robinsons
The Incredibles
yeah, something like that.
anyway, about the movie 9, i watched it the other day with my dad and bro,
and cried like shit at the end. well, sort of. it was much darker than the typical disney movies,
with more adult themes (don't get me wrong), such as technology ruining the world, souls, spirits.
spoiler alert!
it's about everyone in the world being killed by a gas released by evil robots who are too smart for their own good.
the scientist guy who created them, this genius, knew that that would probably happen,
and so he split his soul into 9 parts (kind of like voldy), each part of his soul
residing in a "body" made of whatever - nylon material, metal, etc.
to form 9 different mini people, who are eventually the last bit of humanity on earth,
as they survive the gas attack.
the story is from the point of view of "9" the last piece the scientist's soul.
he leads the rest of them, 1-8, to fight the machines, one of them a machine-creating machine that 9 himself accidentally unleashed. did you catch all that? good.
anyway, they eventually win, as all PG movies go, but not without, many, many sacrifices.
it was horribly sad at the end, but horribly happy as well,
as some of the pieces of soul were freed.
afterward, it was damn creepy. i actually ended up analyzing the movie with my dad! :D
we analyzed why the different pieces of the scientists soul had been broken up in
the order of the mini people, 1 being the egoist, 2 being the inventor,
3 and 4 being a pair of twins who loved cataloging whatever they could get their hands on,
5 being the timid one, 6 the strange, artistic one,
7 being a brave female(!) who fought well and was independent, 8 the brawny one,
and 9 the intelligent and brave one who dared to rebel for the sake of good.
ah, it was a brilliant movie. do watch it, although i've probably spoiled part of it for you.
